The children have been introduced to Fred the frog, who only speaks in sounds.

They have engaged well and are excited to see which sounds they will be learning next. So far, they have learnt m, a, s, d, t and i. All the children have been given a RWI pack with information for parents and carers to support them at home.

In learning time, children have been exploring a variety of activities linked to the sounds they have learnt. This has helped to recognise and recall the sounds.
